Built for teams who have to be right about capital.
Rung Tailac exists to bring discipline and evidence to decisions that are too often made on instinct, outdated spreadsheets, or incomplete information.
Why we started Rung Tailac
Rung Tailac was founded on a simple observation: finance and investment teams across the DACH region were making high-stakes capital decisions with tools that hadn't kept pace with the complexity of the markets they operate in. Spreadsheets, disconnected reports, and ad-hoc analysis were standing in for the kind of structured, repeatable process that disciplined capital deployment actually requires.
We set out to build something different — a system that brings data, analysis, and decision workflows into a single disciplined process, so finance teams can move with more confidence and less guesswork.
That starting point still shapes everything we build today. We are not trying to replace judgment — we are trying to give it better evidence to work from.
Disciplined decisions, built on evidence
Our mission is to give finance teams a structured, consistent way to evaluate capital decisions — grounded in data rather than instinct, and designed to hold up under scrutiny.
What we believe
Good capital decisions are repeatable. They rely on consistent inputs, clear criteria, and a process that can be reviewed and improved over time — not one-off judgment calls made under pressure.
What that means in practice
We build tools that organize data, surface relevant signals, and support a documented decision process — so teams can explain not just what they decided, but why.
The principles behind our work
Evidence over instinct
We design our analysis and workflows to favor verifiable data and clear reasoning over gut feeling, without pretending to remove judgment from the process entirely.
Clarity over complexity
We would rather present a smaller set of well-understood signals than overwhelm a team with data that doesn't change the decision at hand.
Process over one-off answers
We build for repeatability. A decision framework that only works once isn't a framework — it's a guess that happened to land.
Plain-spoken limits
We are explicit about what our tools do and don't do. Rung Tailac supports analysis and decision-making; it does not provide investment advice.
The team behind Rung Tailac
Rung Tailac is built by a small, focused team working directly with finance professionals to understand how capital decisions actually get made — and where the process breaks down.
Building the decision layer
Designing the models, workflows, and data structures that turn raw inputs into usable, defensible analysis.
Working alongside finance teams
Sitting with the teams who use Rung Tailac day to day, so the product reflects how capital decisions are actually reviewed and approved.
Keeping the process honest
Maintaining the discipline and documentation standards that make our analysis something a team can stand behind, not just a dashboard.
